Fab Setter
Responsible for correctly setting up and taking down fab pushers, air rams, fab tools and all supporting equipment; performing maintenance on all listed equipment, troubleshooting all fabrication-related process problems.
SOME ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Retrieve fabrication tool number according to Production Schedule, find and position fab. machinery, including but not limited to pushers, conveyors, winders or air rams.
- Set-up tool in air ram or within provided fabrication equipment.
- Set up air ram, stops, anchor bolts and other operating requirements.
- Pre-fab tool: Set-up pusher and guides according to profile.
- After-fab-tool: any take off, conveyor, packaging or slug/waste methods.
- Ensure equipment and set-up runs properly to confirm, using only enough air pressure to cut. properly. Maintain proper fab tool locations.
